Patience, Persistance, and Testing – 3 Critical Ingredients

No matter what business you decide to start, there are three things people tend to overlook that could ultimately determine their success:

Patience. Most ventures take a while to start gaining, even the slightest, momentum. Unfortunately, many people that are trying to make money by setting up a business are much too impatient. A lot of this has to do with their reasons for starting the business in the first place. Are they looking to make a quick buck? Are they hoping to make a fortune and retire at 40? If your expectations aren’t in line with reality, then you are likely to be disappointed. Patience is the key here – your business won’t become an overnight success.

Persistence. This is actually closely related to patience. When people don’t see immediate results, or a few unexpected barriers need to be overcome, they can quickly lose their drive. The majority won’t continue to flog away at a business that is not performing up to expectations. Little do they realize that success is likely just around the corner. Many quit before they give it a chance. Ultimately, success is the best motivator, but you need to have faith in the beginning.

Testing. If you have no idea where your profits are coming from and what is making money for you, then you are literally flying blindly, and there is no way that you can tweak your processes to increase your profit. You need to be constantly testing, analyzing, adjusting, and then repeating it all over again. This should be a never-ending process.
